Don't support this terrible business. The owner called for the death of NFL players bringing attention to injustices occurring in our country. Spend your money somewhere else.
The restaurant seems lovely but unfortunately, I would not feel comfortable frequenting this establishment due to cruel and insensitive remarks the owner, John Valko, has made about minorities who protest against police brutality. Co-owner John Valko is a racist who makes public death threats to multiple people. I wouldn't expose ANYONE to that kind of environment, nor should you.
The owner posted on his facebook page about NFL players who take the knee in peaceful protest at violations of the Constitution: "Kill the idiot players." he wrote, "Execute them. They are nothing but garbage... They should go kneel in front of a freight train... They need to die." Do you think is there any chance that someone this violent and racist might think YOU TOO should be killed for doing something he doesn't approve of? Would you really trust someone like this with cooking and serving you your food or beer?
The owner of this restaurant is violently racist. You should not be able to spew this sort of violent vitriol and have your life go unimpacted. If you can look past this sort of behavior and still support this business because "it is just one person's opinion", "first ammendment rights" or "doesn't directly impact you", then you are a shining example of every passively compliant bystander during every blemish of human history.
