We booked well in advance to stay at Reef resort Villas. The night before our flight was to leave, they cancelled our booking. We had to quickly find new accomodation.
We recently stayed at the resort and were disappointed that the offering didn’t match the website. The pool was not heated and was very cold, restaurant/cafe closed at 4pm and only had very basic menu offerings, no clean was undertaken mid stay despite being noted on the website and there were minimal guest facilities eg bbq, games room etc you may expect of a resort. Fantastic pool and very peaceful place, no noise at night time, it's just amazing. We'll definitely be coming back
The accommodation itself is great but what really lets it down is the pool and reception times. The reception has extremely limited hours and the pool is like soaking in a warm bath - not what you want after a day of exploring the area in the tropical heat and humidity. Not sure if they have the heater on year round or if they just need some shade sails, but a cold shower would’ve been a more enjoyable way to cool off at the end of the day.
