Redweek has increased their listing/rental costs to the extent that it’s difficult to even break even when trying to recoup the value of your points. It now cost $60 to post a rental listing, in the past this could’ve been done from $45. Also, there Is a $99 fee which used to be optional but now is required for every listing. Also, they are charging a fee to the person renting the unit and taxes as well. There are other options, such as TUG which I will be moving to.
Redweek was my go-to timeshare rental service for over 20 years. They were recently acquired and have implemented a series of extremely unfriendly policies. To the point where as soon as I have a viable alternative I will ditch them and never look back. They have quadrupled listing fees on owners, they have put themselves between the owners and the renters so that there is no direct contact any longer. For our first experience with RedWeek, we made an error in initiating the wire transfer to receive payment. We were out of town at the time, so obtained our bank's routing number and our account number from our banking app. The routing number was correct, but the account number was not our checking account number.
