Stopped in on the way back to Indiana from Tennessee. Our daughter recommended stopping in for lunch. She "discovered" Red State BBQ while studying for her Masters at U of K. We ate in and had leftovers later in Indiana.
A+ My all-time, all-time FAVORITE Kentucky place for BBQ. My only complaint is there's very little space left to leave my ex-girlfriend's phone number on the walls! 😂 JK... this place is the epitome of awesome southern BBQ and I go back anytime I'm near Lexington! They had me when I forgot my readers (I'm older and can't read the menu without them) and the delightful woman/service took hers off and game them to me! That's southern hospitality! Thank you so much, love this place!
Excellent lunch stop. We had twice smoked brisket, brisket chili, baked beans, macaroni & cheese followed by banana pudding. Great food. Plenty of sauces to choose from on your table. Definitely going back.
Very good sauce the Carolina mustard is better than the real sc sauce
