So far I’ve been fairly disappointed with this office. Particularly the phone staff. Though I do have confidence in the vet who does my farm visits, I have been less than satisfied when dealing with the office staff in particular. The phone person has been condescending, speaking down and belittling to the customer. This has happened on at least two occasions when I called about an urgent animal situation. If you don’t mind waiting 20-40 minutes past your appointment time for your pet, by all means this vet practice is for you! Also, their cancellation policy is super strict. I had an appointment for my dog and he vomited shortly before the appointment. I tried to change the appointment because I didn’t want my dog’s germs to spread. I was told I would be charged the cancellation fee. I ended up taking my dog to another vet.
As a person who understands that Vets dont get the same respect as a human physician and the field has lost so many. I know I have to be a good pet mom. I cant wait years to take them in, or not have a relationship with them and expect to call when there is an emergency. I also understand that if I cant shell out $1000 for said emergency, I shouldn't have that animal. Having an animal is a choice, a privilege and responsibility. Inexperienced. Does not listen to symptoms given by owner. Diagnosed my 30 year old mare who has a history of tooth problems with strangles and refused to consider any other options (such as the obvious tooth abscess that she had). Left her to suffer and just wanted to test her again even after result came back negative.
