Wow! So happy we stumbled upon Red Star on our way back to the city from Windham. We had unexpectedly been struggling to find a REALLY solid coffee shop in the area and this impressed us so much. Incredible lattes and loved the touch of the free madeleine cookies that come with each. So many syrup/flavor options! FYI they do not have almond milk (but do have oat, whole, 1%, coconut). Red Star Cafe & Bakery has become one of my favorite stops in the Catskills. As someone who pays attention to both food quality and business philosophy, I really appreciate what they’ve created here. My mocha is always excellent, the food is fresh, and the atmosphere is exactly what a local café should be—comfortable, unique, and full of personality. THE reason to visit Cairo, NY, whether traveling through or on a weekend getaway in the Northern Catskills. A lively coffee shop catering to locals and visitors alike; their baked goods are tremendous. My wife had the nutella cruffin and a latte and I had the crumb cake (I'm still trying to figure out how they made the cake a main feature). A great place. Much luck to them in the future.
