Stayed at Koa Kea in June - the hotel was amazing but this restaurant is really not that great. The food is very expensive even for Hawaii (short rib entree was ~$80), and honestly not very good. The cocktails were great and the service was good - but the food definitely lets it down. It’s also not oceanfront like a lot of other restaurants in the area, so the setting can feel a bit lackluster. YMMV!
The brunch wasn't so great, but the dinner time looked more bustling and interesting.
For our wedding anniversary, we were trying to decide between Red Salt and Tidepools for a nice dinner. We ended up choosing Red Salt because the menu looked incredible, and I’m so glad we did! Between our group, we ordered the short rib, ribeye, mahi mahi, and monchong, and every single dish was amazing.
