I drove 40 minutes to get there and it was closed. They need to update their working hours.
Go somewhere else for a cocktail. Went on a Friday night at 10pm. I would guess ~40 people in the place and only one bartender = slow service. Ordered 2 old fashioneds which were ok, got the bill and noticed an automatic 20% gratuity added and a additional 3% credit card service charge... $20 for a mediocre cocktail in an Aurora basement is insane.
They ruined Valentine’s Day. I spent nearly 50 bucks for reservations to the love and strings event. Only for us to be seated at the bar because they didn’t plan the event accordingly. We didnt even get to go to the “red room” it’s just “amore mio” restaurant basement. We were told we would get refunds but currently I got denied And they won’t honor it.
We attended their Valentine's Day "Love and Strings" event where we were going to watch a violinist and get dessert. The entire experience was false advertising and was extremely disorganized. The tickets said doors opened at 8:00pm. We waited outside at the locked door of the venue for fifteen minutes before we learned we had to walk through the crowded restaurant to get to our location (even though there was a door outside). It's fine. I love the black and red aesthetic, the dim red lighting is done really well. The place has a lot of character. The drinks are pretty good, the food is great (though the food is from the restaurant upstairs), but if it's busy you are not getting served for the next 30 minutes. I understand not being greeted when I enter sometimes if they are very busy, but it's frustrating regardless. (And since it's so small, it's very easy for it to get full.)
