Super location in Beaver Bay MN (right off of US61) centrally located to so many beautiful natural sight-seeing locations. Right at wonderful biking and hiking trails (a short walk to a fun waterfall). Don’t forget to shop right at the Red Raven for quality and well designed souvenirs for all (store open on the weekends). The establishment’s owner and staff are very accommodating and helpful. It’s nice to still have affordable places to stay that are clean and comfortable. Excellent location on the north shore and close to amazing mountain biking trails. Also close to Split Rock Lighthouse and Black Beach! Great Hosts!
Was scheduled to stay there 9/11-9/13. When we arrived, there was no one there to check in with. I had to enter a code to get into a dark, sub-basement space. When we looked at our room, we were shocked by the size and had a window like a basement lookout window into a yard and trees. when we checked out the bathroom there were some bugs there and the place just didn't feel right. Clean, but small room. It only has a shower and you must go down a few stairs to get to the room. There is no air conditioning, which 90% of the time won't be an issue, but it got up to 78 degrees in our room overnight. We didn't feel comfortable opening the window overnight, as it is on the ground floor. There's very little privacy in the room, as you can hear all of your neighbors, regardless of noise level.
