They need to update this google listing and their signage. If you don’t serve the public, let the public know. We showed up for dinner and we were turned away (from a nearly empty dining room) as they “only serve lodge guests.” A simple sign on the door could have saved the server the annoyance of talking to us. Also, apparently it isn’t called the Red Paddle Bistro anymore?
This is one of the few times that I wish I could give a place less than 1 star. My family drove all the way out to Red Paddle after checking several times to be sure they were open, only to walk in, and be told they wouldn't serve us because they were too full. This was for just 4 people at 730 pm and the hostess said it with the vast majority of the restaurant tables empty behind her (that is not an exaggeration). My grandparents reserved a table weeks ahead of time whenever they reserved our boat to rent for the day. They reserved a table for 10 outdoors because we planned on bringing 2 dogs with us. Closer to our reservation, I called to make sure there was dog-friendly patio seating. During this call, the person on the phone confirmed our reservation for 10 and assured me there was outdoor dog-friendly seating on the patio. Went to watch family members canoe while we ate. They were nice enough to let us picnic there while we waited. Great spot to be in the water.
