Red Onion Saloon is a must! Great place, you really get an 'old timey' feel in here. Great atmosphere, like old friends gathering at a home-town watering hole. Which is exactly what it is!
A step back in time The architecture of the building was a real highlight of our visit to the Red Onion Saloon. It is a real old fashioned saloon atmosphere. Just belly up to the bar and have a good time!
Very Interesting Structure Our visit to the Red Onion Saloon in Skagway, AK back in May, 08 was a very enjoyable experience for us. We were amazed at the structure of the building and we loved all the different layers of wallpaper that had been used over the years. The whole place had a run down charm indicative of the era in which it was built and used. We were shown a picture of one of the most famous "madams" of the era and was amazed by her petite stature.
