Red Dog Saloon is a fun tourist spot The Red Dog Saloon is a great tourist spot to visit when in Juneau. It has the old time Gold Rush feel and the people are usually great. The beer is pretty good too.
Red Dog Saloon is a neat place to stop in This is one spot most people go when they visit Juneau. There are peanut shells and saw dust on the floor and usually someone playing a piano or signing. It's usually a pretty good time.
Touristy... alot of this town is owned by the cruise industry, or so I'm told. We stopped in quick for lunch. An interesting woman was singing which was fun, but the place was a bit too touristy for my taste.
Classic Old Alaska with Modern Twist The Red dog Saloon is located right off the docks in Juneau. This old time bar has been modernized and turned into a brew pub, but you could still image this pace packed with gold miners.. The Red Dog Ale is excellent. Lick much of downtown Juneau the cruise company have pump money into this popular port of call. So when the boats are in, it gets crowded. But for a true Alaskan experience don't pass up the Red Dog.
