While travelling on the North West Coastal highway it’s only a very short diversion to visit the Red Dog Memorial Statue that is just before Dampier. Whether the story of the Pilbara wanderer is true, based on truth or a story of fiction is up for debate…but the film made in 2011 is a decent watch and is quite a good representation of WA and the Pilbara area.
