My insurance covers mammograms every 12 months completely, without any co-pay. Red Bank Radiologist is an in-network provider and in 2021 they didn't charge me anything. Now, 15 months later, still an in-network provider as they confirmed, they send me a bill for $82.95 for this year's mammogram, giving me 30 days to pay the bill. I called them about it, but they didn't take off the charge. My insurance confirmed that they covered the mammogram completely again.
A year ago I went for my annual mammogram. It is always a very scary experience but one that is very important. I was diagnosed with breast cancer . Imagine my shock, but because everyone at Red Bank Radiology did their job correctly they caught it early and I am doing fine. As scary as it all was , they couldn't have been more supportive, caring and understanding. They knew I was scared, even had a nurse holding my hand when the doctor was explaining everything to me.
