place is a rip off – they charged me 3 times for one item, cause they thought something was "wrong" with there computers, i had to ask the lady to stop running my card because when she handed me the first receipt it looked like it was going thro, the lady then tells me she cant refund me and to call my bank and see if it really went throu after waiting for 15 mins for their machines to "work" again, she had rung a 5$ item thru 3 times, and still "cant" refund me the 10, and would give me 2 more discs to make up for it till i... read more
TERRIBLE – I was dropping kids off to ski and wandered by. That was the last good thing. I bought a jacked in Feb that turned out to be to small. No problem, I shipped it back the following day with a paid return UPS label enclosed. They had many of the jackets I bought to exchange with. All they had to do was drop it in the box I had sent, slap the label on, let ups pick it up the next day. 30 days later I called, inquired, my box with the jacket was still there. Nothing done. Awful business – Notice how none of these reviewers ever got their money??? This place is a sham. Yes, they moved, but still don't have the money to pay the people they owe money to. "Come back in a month and we'll have your money" HA. Sounds like you don't know how to keep the money you OWE people separate from your other money. Location has moved, not closed – Please read article from the newspaper. They have not closed, they have moved. 1/5/11 there was an article in Summit Daily News. This site won't allow me to post the link, but if you go to Summit Daily's website and search for Recycle Sport you should find it.

WOW! in a bad way – I was surprised to be greeted by an EMPTY store when I went to pick up money and drop of more goods to sell. Not sure how these folks plan to pay me for my goods that sold just last week, as they don't seem to have been paying their rent for quite a while. I guess it's a moot point, but I'm definitely going to file a report with the BBB. We have made thousands of $$$ for this business; it's a shame they have failed their customers and community.
DO NOT SELL YOUR EQUIPMENT AT REC SKI & SPORT !!!! – As with all the other reviews here, I now realize too that these people take your stuff, sell it, then keep the money for themselves. Stop in to get your cash, and "...the bookkeeper is out...." or "....the owner is not here to write a check...." Call, and you get the voice mail, or "....we'll send it out tomorrow...." DO NOT TRUST YOUR GOODS TO CON-ARTISTS. I'm now having to file a lien on the bond, complaints with the BBB, etc. Don't take the same mistaken path!!!!
Too good to be true – Bought skis and traded mine in, they have told me they have been sold but after 8 months they haven't sent money. On my last phone call they accused me of being agressive and used that as an excuse to put the phone down on me. I now realise that I will never get my money unless I go to the store which will be difficult as I live in the United Kingdom.
