Went to Recycal and picked up 4 small short pieces of copper pipe, I asked for price and the guy serving me said $18 a kilo, he put on scales and told me it was over a kilo but $18 for kilo would be ok, I thought it was a bit light for a kilo but paid the $18 as asked. When I got home I weighed it and it was 426 grams so no where near kilo, so advise people to check weight as scales obviously not working properly.

Whilst I don't take my scrap here, they do always have a bargain in new items that have been surrended for disposal and very well priced.

Contacted Recycal earlier this week with the hope of arranging a scrap metal bin for a clean up of a property this weekend.
