I so appreciate Janet and Mel at RecumbentPDX. The experience of purchasing a recumbent tadpole trike included education (teaching me to ride safely and with confidence), patient listening and question answering, and allowing me to try things out over time. I love my trike and am grateful for the positive teaching and learning experience with Janet and Mel!
Had a terrible experience on the phone. I was looking for help finding a front tire for my recumbent 3 wheeled. The person on the phone was very short with me and basically refused to help me or even point me in the right direction for a new front tire,wheel, or anything for the front of my recumbent. I did not consent to be recorded. I think that may be illegal.
I purchased a trike from recumbent pdx. After a month my engine seized up on a trail. Mel tried to help us troubleshoot it on the phone, but nothing worked. We brought it to him the next Saturday and he replaced the engine at no cost for us. While the engine was replaced, Janet took us for a ride to Mt. Tabor on store catrikes. They made the long 5 hour drive down there a wonderful experience. Rude rude rude. The guy is not in the mood to help out.
Good service. They make sure you get a good bike for you and that you know how recumbent bikes work. Free test rides with an employee are great. A bit expensive.
