Excellent Service/ Good Equipment They stand behind everything they sell. If we need to take something back that's on a life-time warranty, they will take it back without any question and will give us a new one. They seem pretty knowledgable and won't try to sell me on something I don't really need. They give you good adviice, and care about what you're doing. BE VERY CAREFUL!!! -- returns are the worst! I bought a few sleeping bags. I got them home and found out they were different sizes. I took them back and they tried to say that I was crazy. So I insisted they measure them and sure enough they were smaller. They seemed a little shocked. (Or burned). They went on to say the company measures differently. yeah right! Super disappointed, I came in a couple weeks ago and an employee hassled me about my service dog. Even after explaining the ADA laws and rights, the employee was still rude. I have been coming here for years and have previously loved it, but I do not plan on coming back. Super disappointing for the ussual progressive and understanding outdoor community.

Good little place for cheaper gear. The employees are easy going and don’t circle around you like buzzards on the hunt.
I have been shopping at recreation outlet for over 15 years. I have always loved it there but last week I had an experience that as a parent was both embarrassing and incredibly aggravating. I left feeling like I would never go back to that store again. I reached out to the management just to let them know about my experience and they have been absolutely amazing. At the Ogden location Jared (manager) is super rude and belittles the customer, I used to shop there all the time. It’s where I bought my first climbing rope, first shoes, first draws! It now makes me sick to think about how much I’ve spent there after seeing the way Jared treats customers.
