Very laid back....staff super friendly...great place to detox and get started in sobriety..the pictures are not current but I wasn't there for shiny floors and new couches

I came to Recovery Works South Shore back in Feb. Of 2023. It was my first time ever being to treatment as well as being away from my family for an extended period of time! I was scared and nervous to say the least but once I got situated, it felt like home! I met some of the best people during my time there and the staff was incredible!! I planned to only stay for 30 days but decided to extend my time for 30 more and I couldn't be more grateful that I did! The pictures are years old, the place has really gone downhill since then. It looks nothing like that now. And most of the rooms they had open before for groups or rec time have been closed for some reason. Also the workout equipment is not available to use along with the workout room being closed. So if they promise you that over the phone, like they did to me, they're lying. Take everything they tell you with a spoonful of salt. Also their PHP program is shutting down on the 28th of February. I sent several packages containing cigarettes and money to a patient there. The patient never received any of the packages. I have post office tracking receipts that said they were delivered to the front desk there. This is a followup comments. I did finally receive the packages back. It just took a while for me to get them.

Worst facility ever! They put me in the basement when I tested positive for Covid where they forgot about me! I’d have to ask repeatedly for food and drinks! It was like I was a caged animal! Then there was a male client coming in our room sleeping with one of the female clients. They don’t do their checks or at least not like they should! Best thing they did for me was transfer me to Recovery Works in Elizabethtown!
