Dr. Dellacqua performed open carpal tunnel release surgery on my right hand on 9/27, and my left hand on 11/8, at the Indiana Specialty Surgery Center. I had been experiencing tingling and numbness in my hands for awhile but it was getting worse and harder to ignore. Initially, I got cortisone shots in both hands. It did help, however, I knew it was a temporary fix. I was informed that if I let the carpal tunnel syndrome progress it could lead to permanent loss of feeling in my fingers/hands. YIKES!!!
