I have just completed the second stage of my breast reconstruction with Dr. Knacksteadt after being treated for breast cancer and double mastectomy. She is a very talented surgeon and caring provider, and I cannot say enough nice things about her and her PA Nina Wong. Dr. Knackstedt and her PA Nina Wong are an incredible team. They both spent a plethora of time with us answering all of our questions prior to surgery. I had a gender-affirming double mastectomy with free nipple grafts with Dr. Knackstedt, and she exceeded all expectations every step of the way. Double mastectomy surgery. Next surgery is diep flap scheduled for November I had to change doctors from Wake Forest to Duke due to unforeseen circumstances. Due to this I didn’t believe in the medical field anymore. I questioned everything and felt like I wasn’t being heard or treated well.
