Best PCP I've ever had! Staff is wonderful.
Dr. Cohen has been my primary care doctor since she came to Bloomington. She is great. I've never felt rushed during my physicals. I noticed one person said she wasn't respectful of alternate treatments, but that hasn't been my experience. I have not wanted to take HRT and she has always repected that choice as well as my decision to take red rice yeast for cholesterol. Dr Cohen has been my primary care doctor for 8 years. She has been wonderful and always takes time to listen to my MANY questions and concerns. She has been very supportive throughout my cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery. Her office staff calls promptly with lab results and follow up.
I find that dr Cohen often does not seem to believe me. And she is not open to alternative methods. She does not seem to understand that I am different from other people and respond differenly from other people to certain drugs. However, I believe that she is a excellent doctor. She is just very good at dealing with traditional problems and patients. I don't believe she understands allergies very well. I'm sure she can treat me very well if I have a traditional problem. She eagerly helps.
She felt condescending the entire new patient visit and seemed put out by having to even do the visit. Follow up has been atrocious and the staff is HORRIBLE. You cannot reach anyone and when I finally did reach one of the nurses, they were laughing and flippant about providing my test results. Since then, I've not been able to reach anyone in the office - it just goes straight to voice mail. It does not feel like they care about their patients at all. Do NOT recommend.
