The food and service were excellent.
Ribeye steak was good. Texas bourbon pecan pie was phenomenal. One of the best I’ve had. Not just custard topped with pecans but loaded with crunchy pecans throughout. Get it with the cinnamon ice cream
We had 5 dishes and all but one was excellent! I gave a star for every amazing dish. I would skip the carne asada.
Reata is a staple for Alpine locals and tourists alike. The food is very good in the tradition of west Texas. The servers are almost overly attentive. Dinner only. You should dress in something a little nicer than a tee shirt and cargo shorts.
On the menu it's labeled Blackened Salmon but not your typical heavy seasoned filet. It was cooked to perfection with an amazing sauce. Definitely recommend. Haven't tried my buttermilk pecan pie yet. BTW if any staff sees this I recommend if someone orders the pie to go there's no need to heat it up.
