UPDATE: Still going strong at age 59 thanks to RealFit KC. I went from being in very poor physical health to actually doing two 5K's AND competing in a Festivus competition. Functional fitness is my top priority and definitely has not been a disappointment. I have packed and moved a couple of times in the last few years and was able to bend over, pack, and move every box I touched. A total transformation of my life began at RealFit KC two years ago. I was a 54 year-old who weighed 202 lbs., diagnosed with NAFLD, constant back pain, very little muscle strength and low cardio stamina. This was a do or die for me. Never did I imagine myself sticking it out at a gym as during my assessment I fell to the floor doing a short box jump. I absolutely love Real Fit! I've been going for about a year now and I've lost 50 pounds (for real!) and counting. The owner, Renee, is truly the best. She's so knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition and she's always willing to help you reach your goals. She also creates a really fun and motivating atmosphere in her classes. The community Renee has built at RealFit is second to none. A welcoming place, where humility meets camaraderie. Trying something new, especially something that includes being vulnerable can be a hurdle, and can sometimes be outside of most people’s comfort zones. However, if given a chance, RealFit quickly becomes the comfort zone. This place has changed myself for the better, and brought the most important people into my life. Wonderful programming and even better people!
