We recently purchased a vacant lot with a plan to share it with our daughter. The lot was listed by a licensed broker and we used a Realtor to represent us as well. We went through a typical escrow and Real Advantage title insurance company was chosen to cover the title. At the close of escrow, we were sued for "quite title" and we were completely abandoned by Real Advantage Title insurance company. In my opinion; if you see "ratic" in your escrow documents, it’s a red flag.
