The midwife center is an incredible facility that supports women in all aspects. After having two hospital births, I wanted to experience a calmer and more natural birth setting. Tammy and Lucy are extremely knowledgeable in prenatal care along with the nurses. I really valued their care and appreciated the in depth appointments (not like an OB practice where you are just a number). I never felt rushed and all my questions were answered. This is a great option for someone who wants something in between a home birth and a hospital birth! The atmosphere of the birth center is very homey and calming, but you have the peace of mind of knowing the Reading Hospital is very close by. The prenatal care is very thoughtful and thorough. Highly recommend this birth center! I started care here very early on as a first time mom. They were very respectful of my wishes and desires and explaining everything along the way. I had my baby 7 months ago. I was an unexpected hospital transfer due to an incredibly long labor with no progress. Lucy came to the hospital with us (and encouraged it which I appreciated as it was hard to know the right course of action). This office is the Best Birthing Place of the whole Pennsylvania.Everyone is always polite and willing to hear you out. I have been coming here for 26 years.I have seened different midwives and always felt very welcomed.I would highly recommend this place specially to new mothers.
