I love this concept . As a voice teacher at The Old Town School Of Folk Music, I always tell my students that they need to break down all words into individual sound components, usually consonant- vowel- consonant. This makes for effective speaking and singing.
This is a great teaching strategy for students, especially if their literacy program is missing a phonemic awareness piece.
Business response:
Thanks, Monica! We want to spread this strategy to many districts, especially Cicero! We'd love to work with you!
I've shown this video to colleagues. They were amazed at how much fun it was and quickly understood how beneficial this will be for children!!
Great organization with transparent and measurable results to make an real impact on the literacy and future of Children in Chicago.
