I used to work here. The community and staff made it worth working here despite the high expectations for mediocre pay. I will say this gym has a lot going and wish it the best. I’ve made so many friends and connections here and I still hear from them. An ongoing concern is the toxic environment prompted by the general manager and their passive behavior towards staffs. I’ve mentioned the concerns to the owner but the concern still stands. Reach staff you’re doing great—Reach wouldn’t be where it is without your hard works.
Loved* Reach. It’s got everything. You’ll easily find yourself getting sucked into a day project if you boulder - just awesome route-setting. Also, the rope routes are solid. Staff is courteous and attentive. Unlike some other gyms in the area you won’t feel inundated with groups of kids or many rental-shoe folks since Reach has a fantastic layout.
