I am a cottager in Georgian Bay. Our place is out on an island. So it is always a challenge for me to find qualified trades people who have a boat and are willing to do work out on an island like ours. Called these guys for a wiring job on a new garage. They sent a young guy out to look at the garage and discuss the scope of work, and said they would get back to me with a quote. I never heard from them again.
I’ve had nothing but great experiences with Rob. Had him out once before and just the other day to do some work around the cottage. Easy to deal with, nice guy and makes good recommendations (not advising to pay to do work that isn’t needed). I will be using Rob again for other electrical needs. Joe is also knowledgeable and easy to deal with. I appreciate working with both.
I do not recommend RBK and had a very bad experience. I ordered an EV Charger line, install, and 240V exterior plug. They quoted, visited the cottage to validate the quote, and then confirmed pricing also noting that the quote included cushion. They then came 40% over budget and never informed me of any overages during the work. When I challenged their invoice they said I ordered more but this was not true as the parts cost was consistent with the original quote. What to say about Rob, Garon and Joey? They were on time, friendly, professional, cleaned up and really attentive to our two dogs. They were hired and provided safe, professional install with required permit. They communicated really well and completed the job in one day as a team of three. All questions were answered. As a side note others were asked for quotes also. Be aware of electricians who cannot pull theirs own permit. Be aware of electricians that quote and then cancel not one but two but three times.
