Good service but fees on top of fees Service is good but RBC has many fees and they are often higher than other financial institutions. Some examples: standard account fee ($140.) IRA custodial fees ($50. and going to $60. soon) and IRA exiting fees- when you transfer your IRA to another firm ($125.) Full Service Broker A full service broker who will take care of most of your investing needs. The advice I get from my broker is usually very good. He is somewhat conservative, but that is because I am very aggressive. The fees are much more than going to a discount broker, but I would recommend that you keep both especially if you are into smaller priced stocks. However, the fees that I do pay are usually worth the advice given. Chip Wisner is a whiz at treasuries.
