I had a very disappointing experience at this RBC branch on August 1st around 4:00 PM. After opening an account online, I received an email asking me to visit the branch to activate it. When I arrived, the teller was unable to locate my information and simply told me she couldn’t help. I suggested she try searching by phone number or check my existing RBC accounts — including an active auto loan I already have — but she refused to try any of those options. Dealing with this branch and the mortgage advisor I was assigned to switch my mortgage over to RBC has been an absolute disaster!! The switch over bonus is clearly a scam because here I am 3 months in and they cannot give me the cash and the avion points promised. I spoke with Christina Bellisario in regards to moving my RRSP from my previous employer to my RRSP with RBC. She told me it would take about 4 weeks and I would need to sign some paperwork to start the process. It’s been 4 weeks now and she still hasn’t sent me the paperwork to get this started. These guys aren’t very good. Tried to open a business account here and got no paper work and took forever. Once it was set up to make matters worse the accountant they assigned to me gave me the wrong client card number and I couldn’t even access my account for a while. Then proceeded to duck and dodge my calls and emails. Word of advice. They were nice people but very unprofessional I’d go to a different location that actually prioritizes my business.
Wilma is the absolute best teller and all staff at the front desk are kind and quick to complete my transactions. I think the negative reviews are bank policies/rules that exceed the staff who are just trying to protect your assets
