I opened a savings account online, email asked me to come in with 1 piece of ID. They sent me back said we need 2 pieces of ID and their own email was wrong. Came back with 2 IDs and was told I need to wait 2 weeks to receive a client card in the mail before I can do anything. RBC is throwing away new clients. Tangerine, WS all allow you to open accounts instantly online. What a waste of time.
Only go here if you want them to steal your money. I made a US withdrawal from the branch and their machince wasn't working and taking forever so they suggested transferring it back to my account so that I could withdraw the US currency from the ATM without having to wait longer, they then charged me $3US for the transfer. I guess RBC are crooks.
The staff are very unfriendly.
It’s horrible the whole branch doesn’t have a French speaking agent who could even verify French university’s ID for not understanding The agent herself threatened to have me go back to the university to ask for an English ID. Such a horrible service by a socalled big bank in such a bilingual country
