I had two disappointing experiences with Ms.Shima Kamali at this branch while requesting a bank draft. On both occasions, I felt disrespected and uncomfortable. During my most recent visit, she asked me partway through the process, “Do you have any plans for your bank account?”—clearly trying to pitch some financial product. Horrible experience
The rep (I think she’s Shima) was extremely rude and didn’t even try to understand what I was showing her. I handed in a valid document, and she immediately dismissed it with attitude, instead of asking any questions or reviewing it properly. After I explained everything and proved it was valid, she still didn’t acknowledge it but finally agreed to add the benefit. She provided no apology and even acted like she was doing me a favor and I owed her a thank. That’s just ridiculous.
I’ve been going to this RBC branch for over five years, and every single person I’ve dealt with tellers, managers, advisors has always been polite, professional, and genuinely helpful. But this one Chinese female teller I dealt with recently was unbelievably rude. We live in an AI-driven world, yet this RBC branch still insists on outdated processes. I went in to update my SIN number with all the necessary documents ID, passport, and full account information. Despite that, they refused to make the change because I didn’t bring my physical debit card. Why is that necessary when secure sign-in is available through Apple Wallet or the RBC mobile app? This makes no sense in today’s digital age. Very disappointing experience. I’m seriously considering closing my account with Rbc.
