Went in to pay off my credit card off in cash, but was told I can’t because I didn’t have a chequing account at RBC. I’ve never been told this before between other branches and banks. I went to the Highway 7 location and had absolutely no issue. I told them about it and even they were confused.
I was shocked by the level of rudeness displayed by a teller at this branch around 3:15 PM on March 22, 2025. As someone in the service industry (or simply as a decent human being) there is absolutely no justification for such condescending behavior. We came in for a simple transaction: breaking some USD. Definitely the worst dealing I've ever had at an rbc moments ago. Tried to break some American bills for my upcoming vacation (to use as tips at a resort). Not only was the teller not helpful, her tone was condescending, facial expressions were rude - just not a great interaction. Didn't even bother looking at her name tag as I wanted to get out of there asap.
Was sent here from another branch because that was a "no cash" location. And deposit printer isnt working so they cant take deposits. What an experience.
