I have a mortgage account with RBC. What I don’t have is a chequing account. And a couple of months ago I entered this branch with an RBC cheque written by ICBC for $110.00. According to google, you can cash their cheques through RBC without an account. Thankfully, the agent at RBC was rude and unhelpful, didn’t even offer to open a chequing account for me, and declined my attempt to cash a cheque. I highly recommend Seon Ji; she is incredible. First of all, she is excellent at explaining the entire mortgage process. She explained all the details so clearly that, even though it was my first time getting a mortgage, everything made sense. Racist and discriminatory was the service I received from a teller who was an Asian girl, the worst I have ever experienced in Canada. I asked her for her name so I could report her to her manager and she refused to give it to me. I hope I never have to return to that bank.
