The worst bank I have ever used. It is 21st century, and such service is unacceptable. It is related not only to my local branch, but in general to the bank. That is why I am writing it here. Now is the 4th month since I opened accounts, and I still can not receive my debit card (and I am not talking about credit card, I think it is unreal already). Make an online-appointment, confirmed it and ignore as a result - easily. I lost my time, I lost my money.
I visited RBC Royal Bank last week to open a student account, and I was truly impressed with the service I received. The lady at the reception was extremely helpful and made the process very easy. Later, a gentleman assisted me in his office, reviewed my documents, and explained everything clearly. He was very polite, professional, and patient. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK. Our review team has received numerous complaints from customers across different provinces about the same ongoing issue with RBC’s chequing account promotion — the one that supposedly offers a free iPad after completing a few simple requirements. Many of our reviewers signed up, followed every rule to the letter, and still never received their iPad — even months after the deadline.
