I immigrated to Canada from the US in May of 2023. I opened bank accounts at my local RBC branch in Leduc Alberta. Very nice people and they are not the problem. I deposited substantial funds. I was offered a RBC MasterCard as a new resident. It has a tiny $2K credit limit. I have a perfect payment record for over two years and very good income. I do not bank at RBC, but I have staff that do. There are times that I am required to make deposits into their accounts if they are out of the office on business & I have done it plenty of times at other branches. This branch would not allow me to deposit. The two women said it was an internal policy that they can no longer allow third party deposits that passed for all RBCs in March.
