I immigrated to Canada from the US in May of 2023. I opened bank accounts at my local RBC branch in Leduc Alberta. Very nice people and they are not the problem. I deposited substantial funds. I was offered a RBC MasterCard as a new resident. It has a tiny $2K credit limit. I have a perfect payment record for over two years and very good income.
