The location of the property is amazing, it is on a quiet street and a two minute walk to either Apollo Bay or Marengo beach. It is within walking distance to the main street but you still feel like you are having a cozy private coastal getaway. It is rustic and has a very 90s feel to it, which adds to the charm. Rooms are clean and fresh feeling. Would highly recommend if you are passing through and need somewhere to relax for the evening on the Great Ocean Road.
We had a lovely time here at Rayville, it met all of our needs for a weekend getaway! The villa was clean, orderly and the beds were comfy. Perfect location tucked in between two beaches with the golf course right at the end of the street! Golf clubs, Surfboards and kayaks available for use. The staff were always helpful and responsive throughout our stay
We stayed at Raysville Boathouse Apollo during our trip along the Great Ocean Road, and it was a real disappointment. The property is significantly misrepresented in the photos and description. There is no ocean view despite this being strongly implied, and the spa, one of the main reasons we booked …. was not working. The only good thing about the boathouses is the location. We didn't use any cutlery or crockery as it was filthy dirty as were the carpets. Kitchen had no blind, so sun was beating in when we arrived and the upstairs part was extremely hot and stuffy. Managed to get the ancient aircon working but it was totally inadequate. ROOMS: 0 stars SERVICE: 0 stars
Our stay at Rayville boat house on December 21st-24th was ok!!.We stayed in Villa 10.The two single beds where not comfortable at all for an adult and a teenager.The house was kept tidy,Could do with better vacuuming and dusting.There is only one main bathroom in the house which didnt make it very practically with 7 guest.Location is great not far from the beach or the local strip it is walking distant.The house keepers where helpful with our needs.
