I credit Dr. Blackwelder at Rayus in Auburn for saving my life. Another breast diagnostic center, where I had been a patient for 27 years and never missed an appointment, missed my golf ball-size lump on the mammogram and told me I was benign. Dr. Blackwelder recommended an ULTRASOUND in addition to the mammogram and with that additional imaging, discovered my stage 3b Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Dr. Blackwelder scheduled the biopsy quickly and was so caring. If you have dense tissue, don't trust a regular mammogram.
Not much has changed in four years time. Still the same great people and the same outstanding service!
Melissa, Dr. Blackwelder and the rest of the team got my back and support me through a rough time. Being away from home it’s not easy, your support system I’d not there, a strange city and a new Situation to face. They all worked together to help me out, sort issues and make my imaging and biopsy as smooth as possible. Do not hesitate to visit them.
