We very much enjoyed our stay at Ray's - feels very homey and has lots of character, and everyone there is very friendly. I love the roof-top patio - was a great spot to enjoy our amazing breakfasts each morning. The sauna was so nice after a days full of walking. It was unexpected that they also had garage space so we could park our car while we explored the city. So much more enjoyable than a generic hotel! This is our go-to place to stay now when we visit Chicago. Next time, we plan to try the Skylight room!
I picked this place because it was close to a concert I was going to but it's legit the nicest place I've ever stayed, staff were so warm and welcoming and the room was so comfy, they had a sauna somehow??? they had a shelf full of games to play and to top it all off they had a little progress pride flag on the desk. And they made breakfast! If I could give them ten stars I would. I'm trying to find excuses to come back to Chicago just so I can stay here again lol
Everything about our stay was perfect. The staff, the other patrons, the decor, the food, and the overall vibe was so inviting and cozy. Next time we’re in Chicago, we’d love to stay again. Quick tip: you get the lowest price by directly booking with them, so we’ll be doing that with them!
It’s like being at home with friends! The informal atmosphere was welcoming. The decorations alone were worth the price of the stay. Then we had breakfast and we were totally sold. Everything was made to order. No more chain hotel “breakfast” for us! We will be at Ray’s.
This was our second stay. We enjoyed the roof top garden for a bit. Breakfast is always yummy. Location is perfect for us.
