Purchased a Raypak pool heater 2 yrs ago...2yrs in and the copper heating element is leaching into the wate leaving us with a stained pool liner and constant chemicals. Burning through chlorine, pH and and algaecide weekly to keep it close to usable. Never buy a Raypak no matter how good they tell you it is. Its ruining my my pool liner, my summer and my marriage. And, they don't respond for shit!

I am very disappointed with my experience with Raypak and their warranty process. My pool heater is less than a year old, and instead of standing behind their product, I have been asked to provide internal pictures that require taking the heater apart. As a regular consumer, I am not qualified to disassemble a pool heater safely, nor should I be expected to pay a technician just to prove there is a defect covered under warranty. Failed unit on start and making absurdly loud rattling. Contacted Raypak and had Zero communication after 4 weeks of following up. To wait on hold through warranty service for over an hour to be told by the rep that the rear of the unit needs 1 foot of space from wall, mind you after she tried to say the clear to side wall was not properly spaced. They are looking for a reason to not warranty. Update waiting on replacement unit to arrive. Will update once installed.

Ordered parts next day air, early in the day, they waited to ship the part at 11:58pm. Horrible customer service!!
