Felt steeply overpriced for a repair that was mediocre. He may be great with antique hardwoods, but the cost for the repair he provided felt excessive seeing the result.
So thankful this thanksgiving that I found Raymond to restore family heirloom chairs badly damaged in my recent move back to the area. I hope these pictures help convey what he started with and the showroom quality he presented me back with. He went above and beyond to find and fix structural issues beyond the broken arm, and I couldn't be more satisfied with his caning craftsmanship.
Raymond is a true artisan craftsman! He turned an old mid twentieth century chair into a masterpiece. We set it up in our home and can’t stop admiring the workmanship. Every detail carefully thought out and implemented. Our old family heirloom has been given new life and will last for generations to come. Thank you so much!
Raymond restored 4 dining room chairs in poor condition that were family heirlooms. I asked him to re-cane them which he did expertly, but upon realizing that the glue holding them together was failing, he used his vast knowledge to take the chairs apart and re-glue them. They are as strong and sturdy as ever. He did a fantastic job, and I would definitely recommend him to a friend in need of furniture repair.
Mr. Burkett meticulously repaired a broken table pedestal and a dining room chair. As part of the repairs, he took extra measures to strengthen both pieces of furniture.
