Nice resort. Family friendly. Nice for full-time RVers or vacationers. 4 stars instead of 5 because no playground for kids, the hot tub has been down for maintenance several times, the office hours have changed rather than remained steady, the dog walk area is kind of small and the sand inside starts smelling very bad after a short time which means small kids can't go into the dog walk area because the sand is so stinky and kids like to play in the sand - yuck. We were in town for Ironman Texas and stayed three nights. This was our first campground experience as a family. We have three boys and it was the best feeling for me when the two oldest looked at me and said, "Dad, thank you for not putting us in a hotel this time!" We barely saw them while we were on the grounds; they spent almost all of their time outside fishing or swimming. This is a great place for kids. It was also very convenient for us parents as well.
