I took my lower unit to them to have the seals replaced that cost $325, and when i got it back and put it back on the motor the reverse wouldnt work, just grinding when engaged, so i took the boat to them, it also had a miss at idle. I asked them to fix the reverse, and look at the motor for the miss and see what was causing it. They replaced the clutch dog and reverse gear and He said it was the head gasket causing the miss, so he replaced it and now it was fixed. This cost $985. Have used Rayes for lower unit repair, on one motor. Busted drive shaft, over haul carbs ,power pack on a 9.9 Johnson that had set up for almost 20 years. Runs like a scaled cat now.
Brought a runninge engine in they took off 400 dollars of parts lied to me about ths time frame and did work I told them not to do now I I have a broken engine no parts I dont recommend these people to anyone
