Jeffery is a great guy and one hell of a kayak builder, as not only are his craft absolute works of art, the functionality of his designs is beyond belief. I own several different traditional sea kayaks and nothing compares to Jeffery's forward cockpit design along with a center skeg/huge rudder system, because in the Long Island Sound, especially when the wind blows hard across a strong race...it is not unusual to have the last 3 or 4 feet of the aft section of your kayak out of the water, then what ??
