We stayed at Ravenscroft for 1 week in their 2 bedroom cottage. When we checked in, the owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. Our cottage was dated but very clean. You can tell the new owners are slowly fixing up the place after they took it over. We had an issue with our shower not working properly when we first arrived, and when we brought it up to them they fixed it immediately (within 15 minutes). It was a great stay. Carl was great. He was so helpful and friendly. We stayed in a cabin. They are cozy and nice. Good time all around.
We rented one of the motel rooms and an ice hut from Monday to Thursday. Once we checked in we didn’t see or hear from any staff until we had to call the office from the hut when we ran out of propane for the only light source Tuesday evening. Wednesday morning at around 8:30am we were told we had to move to a different hut because they had a large group showing up in about half an hour. I can’t tell you how grateful I am for my really good friend to recommended me this beautiful location, Northern Ontario/Quebec have always been a big part of my life and this place hit all the cords, from the vintage paneling, beautiful handmade curtains and old school appliances! Perfect and full of cozy nostalgia! A beautiful place to spend a long weekend away from buzz of city. Rooms are a bit dated but who cares? They have everything you needed to cook your food for the weekend. Karl is the best. Very helpful. Best place to see Northern Lights too. Will be coming back in summer. Rooms are reasonably price. Good place to stay when you visit Temagami fure tower.
