This company’s coffee is what got me liking coffee in the first place as a teen. Couldn’t stand it before. But even just the aroma through the button on the front is enough to make the mouth water. Three Peckered Billy Goat was the one. Step dad got it because he thought the bag was hilarious, but that bag opened me up to a world of actually delicious coffee! I live for Ravens Brew double dead. I look forward to it every morning. Also at noon.
While I understand playful branding, Raven's Brew crosses a line from humor into outright mockery. Parodying the Gospel of John ('The Book of Joe'), calling coffee 'The Chosen One,' and framing it as a 'sacrament' feels less like satire and more like belittling deeply held beliefs. The Word was God, not a commodity. This isn't edgy marketing, it's needlessly offensive to Christians.
I only buy chocolate and light roast from this company. I happened to find it years ago at a tiny show in Indiana of all places. And I've been in love ever since.
We stopped in for some Carmel Macchiato and it was delicious. She was kind, quick and provided tasty Carmel macchiatos. Thank you!
