This is definitely the most disgusting, awful, and unsanitary facility. With clientele from upper Main street, it is unequipped to really help the community. The staff are unhelpful, everything is brutal. Don't waste your time.
Dr. Tyler Varnals is not doing his profession in “good faith” and I suspect The College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC, The Mental Health Review Board, the BC courts, and Raven Song Community Health Centre all know full well and are “looking the other way”. I have been going to Raven Song mental health team for many years. My psychiatrist is Dr. Birgitta Woods. They have been treating me for my anxiety and other mental health issues. They were not monitoring my blood pressure and heart rate, which were high. This is secondary to stress, and possibly my meds. Dr Woods called me fat and suggested I start Metformin. I refused! Used to be such a great place to go, but these days front office is quick to judge and reactive. Following up on prescription communication issues or even just trying to make an appointment can lead to very intense responses. I understand it must be tiring being underfunded with their mandate changes, but it's so hard to witness the shift in culture.
