I was notified by a company out of california i had a substantial surplus from a forclosure. I went ahead and hired them to handle this process and long story short after a year of waiting they told me they could no longer represent me and I would need to find another way or do it myself. Wow. Dan is absolutely terrific. After 50 years in the commercial world as a banker and lawyer, I have had experience with hundreds of lawyers. A few were bad. Most were fine. Prompt and courteous service. My title insurance company had retained Rathbun Bateman to file a lawsuit to correct my deed. This isn't as adverse as it sounds; the relief we sought was merely for the seller to sign and notarize a deed correction of mistakes made by the real estate attorney who drafted the original deed. We only resorted to filing a lawsuit after the title claim representive had reached out to the seller multiple times, but she didn't respond.
