The Raptor Education Group, Inc is a non-profit 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) organization dedicated to caring for injured or orphaned native bird species and public education on wildlife issues. All donations are tax-deductible. We provide medical treatment, food, housing, and professional care to native bird species. Behavioral, nutritional, disease, and post-release studies done at REGI have contributed to the base knowledge for avian species throughout the world.

The way they euthanize animals is considered inhumane by both the AVMA and the Humane Society of the United States. For larger birds they put them in a makeshift straight jacket and then throw them into a CO2 chamber where you can hear them screaming and struggling. Smaller birds they throw into a box also still awake, and then into the CO2 chamber.
